Wotton Reserve Skate and BMX Facilities Redevelopment
BMX & Skate Parks
About the Project
Wotton Reserve Skate and BMX Facilities Redevelopment is home of WA’s biggest half-pipe — a 3.9 metre-high and 13.5-metre-wide vert ramp — with additional roll-ins coming in from above the main platform, is a new and improved facility to the old skatepark that was much loved. Additional tree planting that provides shade and softens the landscape, and two shade structures and seated hangout areas have been added to the design.
To make the facility more accessible for families and users, a pathway around the perimeter of the skate park connecting to the barbecue picnic area is also included in the redevelopment. It also features complementary community facilities including floodlighting, a bike repair station, electric barbecue, bike racks, and a drink fountain.
MG Group provided design and construction services for the facilities, including the skate park, vert ramp, BMX tracks, surrounding landscaping and overall project completion and tie-in to surrounds.
