About the Project
MG Group were engaged by the City of Cockburn to install a new adventure playground, skate parks and car park in Bibra Lake. The works were spread over 7000m2, with various hardscaping and soft scaping works.
This complex adventure playground was designed to include bespoke features and to be inclusive that people of all ages and ability can enjoy. Our scope of works was over 7000m² with multiple facets of hard and soft-scape works. This included installation of bespoke shade canopies, a water play feature, street furniture, children’s play spaces for varying age groups, Skate Park, soft-fall, interactive play areas, bespoke metal works structures and Artists work of 7m giant concrete Turtles, many catalogue play items and the completion of three car parks.
These projects required a dedicated project and site manager to oversee the complexity of programming, liaising with the City of Cockburn, nominated artists, suppliers and our sub-contractors to arrange and confirm logistics in order to successfully complete works in one of Perth’s largest adventure public outdoor spaces and a very modern plaza skate park and amenities.
Works also included demolition, earth works, stormwater drainage, electrical, irrigation, concrete pavements, asphalt, street furniture, line marking and traffic management.
