About the Project

The Vincent Street Streetscape project was for the upgrade of Vincent Street between Great Southern Highway and Bartram Street.

The project had the aim of revitalising and refreshing the look of Vincent Street for the Shire’s 150-year anniversary.  The project created a safe, green, and vibrant public area, with enhanced seating and lighting.

Improved pedestrian movement was enabled in and around the business area through traffic calming devices and safe crossing places.

Vincent Street also received new lighting, asphalt, drainage, kerbing, footpaths, landscaping and furniture.

Vincent Street is the main road through Beverly with a section of the street being used by heavy vehicles and forming part of the restricted access vehicle (RAC) route between Great Southern Highway and Forrest Street.  This section of road was constructed to a higher specification.

The project also included the installation of drainage, road construction irrigation, landscaping, furniture and paving.
