Spring Street Upgrade
About this Project
The scope of this project included:
- Modification of the existing Spring Street road network to suit the proposed bike lane footprint including modifications to associated infrastructure such as kerbing, line marking and signage
- Modifications to the existing pavement along Spring Street including pavement widening, construction of flexible shared path pavement and associated asphalt resurfacing activities
- Protection of existing infrastructure and services that are not affected by the Works including retention of existing drainage strategy and existing road crossfalls to ensure stormwater flows are not impacted by the Works
- Replacement of existing gully lids with bicycle friendly lids
- Removal, replacement and/or relocation of above ground infrastructure including but not limited to street lighting poles, ticket machines, signage, kerbing and traffic lights
- Traffic signal modifications at Mounts Bay Road and Spring Street
- Civil works, installation of new signal lantern, conduits and loop detectors, pavement markings and signage installation.
